Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Split green moong lentils washed
  • 1/2 cup White Rice washed
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds (Zeera)
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1/2 small Onion chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • Cilantro to garnish
  • 1 small Potato cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup Carrot cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 tbsp Ground Turmeric (Haldi powder)
  • 1/2 cup Green peas
  • 1/4 tbsp Cayenne or Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Start the instant pot on Sauté mode and warm ghee in it. Add onions and allow them to brown. Then add ginger paste. Allow them to cook for a moment. Then add tomatoes and cook till soften. Add Cumin seeds (Zeera), Salt, Ground Turmeric (Haldi powder), Cayenne or Red chili powder.
  • Add all the veggies and spices. Stir them well.
  • Add the lentils, rice, and water. Stir them well with the veggies.
  • Close the instant pot lid, and alter the setting to manual or pressure cook mode for five minutes at high with a vent in sealing position.
  • When the instant pot beeps, do a ten minute NPR. this implies to release the pressure manually 10 minutes after the instant pot beeps.
